Hello, I’m Lala.

Led by
curiosity.

A pianist, a songwriter, and a student exploring the possibilities of music technology.

I study at WLSA Shanghai Academy. Classical performance, ensemble playing and making music with technology are all parts of my practice.

At CMU’s six-week Music Technology summer program, I built spatial audio plugins, played in a jazz ensemble, composed songs and collaborated on arrangements. My original song Beyond the Dial grew out of that experience.

Music & technology

From composition to code

My projects include spatial audio tools, noise reduction and MIDI experiments. I also worked as a team member on an AI music WeChat mini-program integrating audio recognition, transcription and pitch tuning.

Performance & collaboration

Playing with others

I serve as a pianist and conductor in my school orchestra and previously accompanied the school choir. I have also performed in community and charity concerts, including “Music Lights Up the Stars”, supporting children with special needs.

Beyond the stage

Making things move

My interests extend to model aviation and robotics. I founded a model aviation club and, in my school robotics club, taught peers soldering and flight-control wiring techniques.
